CMC started as a Cosplay Market, a simple in person opportunity to meet up with friends, snap some photos in cosplay and of course to purchase second hand cosplays, crafting materials and collectables. Since then, we have aimed to take our fundamental core principles of; community, creativity, sustainability and charity, to the widest audience possible. That is why, in 2024, we have grown to a convention. So that we can spread our principles into the cosplay community while providing more educational, entertaining and interesting activities for our attendees.

CMC is a one day convention, established on the backs of cosplayers, photographers and community members for the cosplay community. We are creating a space where all artists can express their passion freely and be supported by the convention, not just cosplayers, but also; visual artists, performers, small businesses, restaurants, indie tabletop games and even more. We welcome all creatives to be platformed and celebrated through tabling, displaying in our cosplay gallery, competing in our cosplay competition, decorating our artist gallery, showing off their dance/singing skills on the main stage, creating workshops/panels, screening their films and much more.

CMC will always stand by it’s fundamental core principles of; community, creativity, sustainability and charity. We aim to uplift the standard for conventions in Australia, to challenge the stagnating scene and bring something brand new to the community. To help it develop towards a more mindful, supportive, creative and environmentally friendly direction.
